Dr. Lyndsay Elliott

Approach to Treatment

Dr. Lyndsay maintains a clinical practice where she is devoted to helping people address difficulties in their personal lives. Although effective with a variety of ages, she feels particularly connected to adolescents, young adults and those experiencing the “quarter-life crisis.” Dr. Lyndsay’s approach to therapy emphasizes a collaboration of psychodynamic and interpersonal psychotherapy, with cognitive-behavioral techniques. Therapy is individually tailored and helps to emphasize an exploration of the client’s issues and relationships, yielding insight, empowerment, and the hope of a more fulfilling life.

In her clinical practice, Dr. Lyndsay treats individuals, families and couples. Each treatment plan is developed based on your specific issue and goals for therapy. Dr. Lyndsay also has a “treatment team approach” where she takes a considerable amount of time coordinating care with other providers (i.e. physician, psychiatrist, dietician). The consistent collaboration with other providers helps to ensure the best treatment outcome possible, more quickly.
